MY VOICE MATTERS
The Clark County Children's Mental Health Consortium (CCCMHC) hosted a youth video contest to promote Children’s Mental Health Acceptance Month in May 2025. The purpose of the contest was to encourage youth throughout Southern Nevada to express their creativity and help raise awareness about mental health. The 2025 contest theme was "My Voice Matters."

The purpose of this contest is to encourage youth throughout Southern Nevada to express their creativity to help raise awareness about mental health.
A.C.T. - Acknowledge, Care, Tell
In recognition of May 9, 2019 as National Children's Mental Health Awareness Day, youth 18 and under were challenged to address the issue of youth suicide by creating original artwork about the Signs of Suicide program, an evidence-based program that teaches students how to identify the signs of suicide in themselves and their peers and encourages help-seeking behaviors through the Acknowledge, Care, Tell a Trusted Adult technique.
MY CONNECTION-MY SUPPORT-MY COPING
In recognition of May 7, 2020 as National Children's Mental Health Awareness Day, youth 24 and under were given the opportunity to express their strategies and go-to resources for strength and resilience in the face of mental hardship. A photobook was created from submitted pictures to help share the a message of hope and connection.
REDESIGNING THE CCCMHC LOGO

In recognition of May 5, 2022 as National Children's Mental Health Acceptance Day, youth 24 and under were given the opportunity to help CCCMHC transform their logo into something that represents our community and the youth we hope to help.
STOP THE STIGMA!
In recognition of May 10, 2018 as National Children's Mental Health Awareness Day, youth 18 and under were challenged to address the issue of mental health stigma by creating original artwork about how feels for a person experiencing mental health stigma.
BE A FORCE FOR CHILDREN’S MENTAL HEALTH – YOUTH VIDEO CONTEST

The 2017 theme was “Be a FORCE for Children’s Mental Health.” All videos must have focused on and promoted positive mental health. This may have included any of the following:
• Mental health awareness.
• Addressing/reducing stigma around mental health.
• Preventing mental illness.
• Stopping bullying.
• Encourage behavior changes that ends stigma, provides support, and advocates for equal care.
OPERATION RESPECT & WELCOMING SCHOOLS INITIATIVE

The Operation Respect/Welcoming Schools (OR/WS) Project in Clark County School District (CCSD) was initiated in the 2011-2012 school year. This project is a collaborative effort between the Human Rights Campaign Foundation: Welcoming Schools Project, which is a comprehensive program with LGBT-inclusive resources; Operation Respect, a non-profit established by Peter Yarrow of the iconic folk group, Peter, Paul, and Mary, which focuses on Social-Emotional Learning and Character Education; the CCSD Equity and Diversity Education (EDE) Department; and The Public Education Foundation (PEF).
